Dr. Asher Gelman

Dentist, DMD

Dr. Asher Gelman earned his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Academy of Dental Materials Award for Excellence in Scholarship in Dental Materials and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for Undergraduate Scholarship. He completed a General Practice Residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, affiliated with The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he gained extensive experience in dental implantology.

Dr. Gelman has conducted and presented research on modern aesthetic dental ceramics before the International Association of Dental Research, and his techniques have been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Biology from Yeshiva University.

Passionate about both the creative and technical aspects of dentistry, Dr. Gelman specializes in cosmetic and implant dentistry. His expertise, humor, and calm demeanor have helped him build strong relationships with patients over his 15+ year career. He is committed to high-quality clinical care and patient education and continues to pursue lifelong learning through continuing education. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society.

Originally from New York, Dr. Gelman now lives in Skokie with his wife Rachael, their four incredibly smart, stubborn, and sometimes well-behaved children—Emmett, Livia, Evan, and Margot—and their dog Harold. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar,  taking on DIY projects, and barbecuing with friends and family.

Dr. Conen is committed to being a conscientious dentist by keeping abreast of all new advances in dentistry. For example he uses a small laser called the "Diagnodent" to detect cavities in their early stages and a computer controlled anesthetic device called "The Wand" which is designed to make delivering anesthetic a more comfortable experience.

He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Loyola University Chicago, where he graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Currie’s extensive educational background provides a strong foundation for his commitment to dental excellence.

A dedicated advocate for patient care, Dr. Currie is passionate about enhancing lives through improved dental health. He strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and understood, emphasizing the importance of building lasting relationships within his practice. Dr. Currie believes that effective dentistry is not just about aesthetics, but about fostering a sense of community and trust.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Currie enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Dr. Blanche Weintraub is a dedicated dentist based in Chicago, originally hailing from Long Island, NY. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine, where she was honored with the Excellence in Implant Dentistry award, reflecting her commitment to advanced dental care.

Since relocating to Chicago, Dr. Blanche Weintraub has been actively practicing and is a proud member of the Academy of Clear Aligners and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is passionate about staying at the forefront of dental innovations to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Blanche Weintraub enjoys cooking and cherishing moments with her husband and their four children. Balancing her career and family life, she brings warmth and compassion to her practice, making every patient feel at home.

Dr. Joshua Mayer

DMD, Periodontist

Dr. Joshua Mayer, a Board Certified Periodontist, grew up in Colorado, where his love for winter sports developed. His dental career began in Downers Grove, Illinois, where he attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine, graduating with cum laude honors.
After becoming interested in periodontal surgery during dental school, he was accepted to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, an Ivy League University. At the culmination of his training, Dr. Mayer earned his certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, and was awarded the J. George Coslet Memorial Award, for demonstrating excellence in periodontal surgery.
Dr. Mayer’s specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania focused on the treatment of periodontal disease as well as the many surgical techniques related to implant placement, sinus augmentation, soft tissue grafting (connective tissue and free gingival grafting), bone grafting, periodontal regeneration, hard and soft tissue augmentation, periodontal plastic and cosmetic surgery, and the treatment of peri-implantitis and peri-implant mucositis. Beyond his surgical training, Dr. Mayer also has a Masters of Science degree in Biomedical Science. Dr. Mayer is proud to be a Board Certified Periodontal Surgeon, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Since his graduation, Dr. Mayer has maintained a clinical faculty position at Midwestern University, serving as adjunct clinical faculty in the Department of Periodontics.
Seeing his patients through all stages of treatment gives him the most satisfaction in his dental practice. His patient’s are a top priority, and he strives to provide quality care from pre-surgical planning to follow-up. When not in the office, you can catch him loading the skis onto the roof rack or on the mountain slopes!

Dr. Patrick Carroll

DDS, Oral Surgeon & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Patrick Carroll is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with eight years of experience. During his undergraduate studies Dr. Patrick Carroll focused on biology, where he graduated with honors, and earned himself an early admission to the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Upon completing his DDS in the top 10% of his class, Dr. Carroll elected to further develop his talents and complete his residency studying Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University. >While studying Oral surgery at Vanderbilt, Dr. Carroll would receive heavy exposure to trauma, pathology, anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery. His training at Vanderbilt was of paramount importance. Dr. Carroll would act as the chief resident of the facial trauma and reconstruction team where he would further hone his skills.In his free time, Dr. Carroll enjoys traveling and exploring the corners of Chicago.

Dr. Sheetal Kalokhe

Dr. Sheetal Kalokhe grew up in India. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Sciences (B.D.S.) from Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune, India. After practicing dentistry in India, she completed her post graduate course in Endodontics from Case School of Dental Medicine, Cleveland, OH. She is board eligible and is a member of American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and Indian Dental Association.

Dr. Kalokhe gets immense satisfaction by relieving a patient in pain and saving a tooth. She believes in treating every patient like family. Dr. Kalokhe is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.

Dr. Kalokhe lives in Chicago and in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two girls, listening to music, cooking and reading.
