Dr. Asher Gelman
Dentist, DMD
Dr. Asher Gelman earned his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Academy of Dental Materials Award for Excellence in Scholarship in Dental Materials and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for Undergraduate Scholarship. He completed a General Practice Residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, affiliated with The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he gained extensive experience in dental implantology.
Dr. Gelman has conducted and presented research on modern aesthetic dental ceramics before the International Association of Dental Research, and his techniques have been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Biology from Yeshiva University.
Passionate about both the creative and technical aspects of dentistry, Dr. Gelman specializes in cosmetic and implant dentistry. His expertise, humor, and calm demeanor have helped him build strong relationships with patients over his 15+ year career. He is committed to high-quality clinical care and patient education and continues to pursue lifelong learning through continuing education. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society.
Originally from New York, Dr. Gelman now lives in Skokie with his wife Rachael, their four incredibly smart, stubborn, and sometimes well-behaved children—Emmett, Livia, Evan, and Margot—and their dog Harold. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, taking on DIY projects, and barbecuing with friends and family.
